Think about it, you feel like crap when you eat crap but why do we continue to do it. Because it’s delicious, because our brains love eating crap, because our taste buds love it? Who cares? Within an hour or a day, you feel like shit and then you get tired and lazy. Then every day you’re tired and lazy and you can’t figure out why. It’s because you’re consuming shit.
So stop doing it. That’s the hardest part. Breaking the cycle. And when you cheat, you not only feel guilty for cheating, but you also feel like shit again and crave more shit. Shit sucks.
The last couple days, I’ve eaten clean 100% and I may have gone over on calories a bit but I feel awesome. Without the processed sugar destabilizing my energy, I feel good throughout the day. I feel stronger. It may just be a mental thing, but I’m convinced it’s real. I didn’t stop moving until I fell asleep, and I woke up feeling like I accomplished something.
One day at a time. No crap. Never. Not happening today or this week.
I completely agree with this. A lot of the time, people don’t even know that they feel like crap because they are so used to it so it’s just a normal feeling. And when they feel tired from eating the crap, they consume more crap like “energy” drinks and Starbucks. Then they get sick and take medicine and complain about wanting to be better all the while they are eating junk.
If only people would take a chance and be more open to health, they’d realize how much better they feel. Going healthy was such a great choice for me.
Amen!!

Broccoli with butter, strawberries and oversized grapes to eat tonight. Gotta get up to workout in a bit. Aye! I can do this haha
That I focus and buckle down to loose 30-40 lbs before June 22nd. Why that date? My very good friend is having her bachelorette party in Vegas that weekend!! Hello motivation haha I run my second half marathon this Sunday in San Francisco and from there I will fully kick start this journey into action. These next couple days will be me adjusting into healthy eating again, counting calories, and warming up for my half marathon. I’m hoping that blogging about this adventure day to day will help get me to my goal. I see how this has helped A LOT of other people, and it’s quite inspiring. So… here’s to the next couple months :)
Cheers!

Running my first half marathon was intense. I have never experienced something like this before. I literally ran 11 miles without even noticing, and I walked about a half mile after that in a daze. I cannot wait to run more. I actually am running one this weekend across the Golden Gate Bridge. I’m so excited!
